Dr. Hasina Akter joined NSU as an Assistant Professor in Spring 2015. Before NSU, she worked at the Purdue University North Central, USA, as a Visiting Assistant Professor and at the Georg-August-University, Germany, as the international students-coordinator for the Program funded by DAAD. Her research interests are topological and measure theoretical dynamics, Graph Directed Markov Systems, dynamics of fluid and coding theory. She has presented her works at AMS and AWM conferences. At the Joint Mathematics Meeting 2013 in San Diego, California, she attended the professional development programs organized by MAA and played the role of a mentor at the AWM Workshop.
