Webinar on: University Governance in Canada
On 10 December, 2022 the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of North South University (NSU) organized a webinar on: “University Governance in Canada”.
The webinar began with a welcome address by IQAC Director, Prof. Dr. Nazmun Nahar. Prof. Dr. M. Ismail Hossain, Pro Vice- Chancellor of NSU chaired the session. Dr. Glen A. Jones, Professor of Higher Education of University of Toronto was present at the webinar as the keynote speaker. In his presentation, he highlighted the importance of understanding the ways in which Canadian universities are governed and how the decision processes are influenced by government, by academic judgement and by external stakeholders. The webinar was well attended by the department chairs and faculty members of NSU. Several other representatives from different leading private universities of Bangladesh also joined the session via zoom link.
